Importance of Having a Holiday

Importance of Having a Holiday

Working hard without a break should you do that?

Holidays! Why is it  so important that you always take your full holiday. How long has  it been  since you took a holiday? A lot of us are holidaying much less since the economic downturn took hold, but we need our holiday time now more than ever before.

A holiday is not just about sun, sea and sand, it is also about taking a break and re energising yourself; this is something you can do in your holidays .  You may decide to use up much of your entitlement on a long summer holiday, but you may prefer to take regular short breaks throughout the year. However you decide to use up your holiday, the most important thing is that you rest and go back to work/school  refreshed. This will allow you to cope with the stresses of work/school much more easily.

Holidays is where you can have time to bond with you and your  family can have quality time and create a larger bond than  you have ever had before. This bond brings you and your family together.

In conclusion I think that we should have a holiday now  and again.

Commonwealth Games

Commonwealth Games
My Prior Knowledge of the Commonwealth Games!
The Commonwealth Games are every 4 years. I know that it’s kind of like the Olympics but with less countries.  It can go international.  Many people from many different countries all around the world come to compete and win medals. Gold is first ,silver second ,bronze third.  Participants in the Commonwealth Games countries  must sing their national anthem. Many people wear their flags to show that they are proud of their country.

My New Knowledge of the Commonwealth Games
The first Commonwealth Games started in 1930.  It started with the British Empire Games.  At every Commonwealth Games only six teams always came to compete which was Australia, England, Scotland, Wales, New Zealand, and Canada.
Australia has achieved the most  winning in 12 games. The popular games were lawn bowl and netball. They didn't have the Games in  1942 and 1946 because World War II was going on.  New Zealand had 2,565 medals.
The Commonwealth Games are a multi-sport similar to Olympics. The first Commonwealth Games were held in Hamilton, Canada.  CGF means Commonwealth Games Federation.

Evaluation
I think that my prior knowledge of the Commonwealth Games had a minimum of facts than my present knowledge . With my prior knowledge it is what I already know, but with my present knowledge it is what I  researched and found out all about the Commonwealth Games.

Hangarau Technlogy

When I go to Tamaki College,I learned in Digital Technologies. The maori word for technology is  Hangarau.I have to use  the Kiore and the Papa Patuhihi to log to the  Rorohiko. At school I use a Rorohiko ponaho. We use the Ipurangi to log into the Pae Tukutuku for digital technology. We have to check the Maramataka to see what our task are for the day. Sometimes our teacher send us messages on the Imera.Sometimes our teacher uses her Waea Pukoro to give us dojo points or to take photos of us working.

It's time to put a stop to trains!

It is time to put a stop to trains!!!

Hey have you ever wondered, is transport GOOD or BAD.

I vote for an electric train. I think it is very bad. I as a human being vote against trains for they are very bad.
Here is one reason why trains are very bad for the world. They can pollute the air for passengers. A lot of people that are   breathing this type of air can possibly die from this type of air pollution . The engine that the trains are running on could  change to something less smoke. The smoke from this train can kill people, people can breathe this in and it can get into their lungs and you can die. It is kind of like smoking for a child.

In my opinion  the railway tracks   should be established  because  many people all over the world don't obey the rules like crossing the tracks when there are signs saying not to. Many humans can die. They don’t realize that trains can  come without warning.

We need to put a stop to trains because many people free ride the train and don’t get caught. If this happens then they can keep doing it without being caught they will get away with it all the time. If you get caught then it is going to get ugly. You may even involve other family members and even the cops. So make time to tag on or pay your fare.

Did that convince  you that we should stop trains and what they are going to do to us maybe even kill us. So put a stop to  trains now or many humans may die.

My transport in the holiday!

My holiday was cool  especially when you have great transport to take you to places you want to go instead of walking. I went to  Middle more train station to catch the train to town to watch my brother perform at Vector arena for mega schools. The train cost me $10.40 as a child. I traveled with my friend Destiny at church. We had fun on the train because we made friends and the ride was really fast. We didn't even know that we got to town so fast! Trains are a great way to get to places fast.

On the first day of the holiday I was picked up in a van to go to a Christian camp in Ngaruawahia , it was for church. We paid 80 dollars for our gas to go into the van so we wouldn't  break down. In the van it took us at least 4 hours to get there with 100 km on the motorway. The van was fun because we ate a lot  of tasty food. My friends from church were there in the van and the music was jamming. It is a family friendly vehicle as it can take a lot of passengers.

My family and I went by car to a wonderful place in East Tamaki which is called Inflatables. In the car it took us about 20 minutes to get there we had driven around a lot of roads instead of the motorway. We took the way through Otara which is faster. Luckily  there are  roads  to get us to places.

We are very lucky to have transport or we will be walking everywhere and it would be very tiring and it would  take a very long time. Thank you to Marquis for inventing transport  and bringing it to our lives.

Plus my favourite food is tasty cupcakes. I have a pet cat, his name is Whiskers, I love him. My hobbies I enjoy doing in school is art and also maths. My goal in life is to get along with others and make friends with others. My strengths include cross-country and soccer plus touch.  As you may have guessed I am very active and I'm not that type of girl who just likes to sit down and talk all day long,   I love to jump up and play.  I really admire my mum she is my hero because she does everything for my family and I. I love her with all my heart.
