Working hard without a break should you do that?

 Holidays! Why is it  so important that you always take your full holiday. How long has  it been  since you took a holiday? A lot of us are holidaying much less since the economic downturn took hold, but we need our holiday time now more than ever before.

A holiday is not just about sun, sea and sand, it is also about taking a break and re energising yourself; this is something you can do in your holidays .  You may decide to use up much of your entitlement on a long summer holiday, but you may prefer to take regular short breaks throughout the year. However you decide to use up your holiday, the most important thing is that you rest and go back to work/school  refreshed. This will allow you to cope with the stresses of work/school much more easily.

Holidays is where you can have time to bond with you and your  family can have quality time and create a larger bond than  you have ever had before. This bond brings you and your family together.

In conclusion I think that we should have a holiday now  and again.

My Prior Knowledge of the Commonwealth Games!

The Commonwealth Games are every 4 years. I know that it’s kind of like the Olympics but with less countries.  It can go international.  Many people from many different countries all around the world come to compete and win medals. Gold is first ,silver second ,bronze third.  Participants in the Commonwealth Games countries  must sing their national anthem. Many people wear their flags to show that they are proud of their country.

My New Knowledge of the Commonwealth Games

The first Commonwealth Games started in 1930.  It started with the British Empire Games.  At every Commonwealth Games only six teams always came to compete which was Australia, England, Scotland, Wales, New Zealand, and Canada.  

Australia has achieved the most  winning in 12 games. The popular games were lawn bowl and netball. They didn't have the Games in  1942 and 1946 because World War II was going on.  New Zealand had 2,565 medals.  

The Commonwealth Games are a multi-sport similar to Olympics. The first Commonwealth Games were held in Hamilton, Canada.  CGF means Commonwealth Games Federation.

Evaluation

I think that my prior knowledge of the Commonwealth Games had a minimum of facts than my present knowledge . With my prior knowledge it is what I already know, but with my present knowledge it is what I  researched and found out all about the Commonwealth Games.

Hangarau Technlogy

When I go to Tamaki College,I learned in Digital Technologies. The maori word for technology is  Hangarau.I have to use  the Kiore and the Papa Patuhihi to log to the  Rorohiko.At school I use a Rorohiko ponaho. We use the Ipurangi to log into the Pae Tukutuku for digital technology. We have to check the Maramataka to see what our task are for the day. Sometimes our teacher send us messages on the Imera.Sometimes our teacher uses her Waea Pukoro to give us dojo points or to take photos of us working.

You are at Ruapotaka School. Follow these easy steps and I will get you to Tamaki College and back very fast and easy.

My Directions for a Return Trip from  Ruapotaka School to Tamaki College  

1. Drive along Taratoa Street.
2. Turn left   on to Torino Street.
3. Turn on to  Triple Road.
4. Take a turn on to Ermina Ave
5. Drive past the traffic lights.
6. Continue on to the the roundabout which should be your first one.
7. Go around the roundabout to Taniwha Street.
8. Make sure not to  turn  on to Elstree  street.
9. Turn left on Fenchurch Street.
10. Head down Fenchurch Street near Glenbrae  school.
11. Take the left to Leybourne Circle.

Heading back!

12. Take the third left heading past Elstree Ave reserve.  
13. Continue going straight and you will find yourself on Erima Ave.
14. Turn left on to Torino Street.
15. Go straight   and you  will   find you are back at Ruapotaka School.
